If you read my blog regularly, you will know I am on a quest to use colors that I have never used before in the SU range.
Well, I have never used Garden Green, I always choose Old Olive or Certainly Celery, they are my favorite greens. So here is my card for today. I'm sorta happy with it, but I still think it would have looked better with Old Olive :)
But it is good for me to get out of my rut and try new things. This card is semi-based on a card by Yvette, you can see her blog on the right, but here is her gallery on SCS if you have a few hours spare, lol. I like some of her cards with this dress, so that inspired me to use the dress today.
Card details
sets - Blooming with Happiness, Houndstooth, Fine Lace
Cardstock - white watercolor, More Mustard, Ruby Red, Garden Green
Inks - black versafine,More Mustard, More Mustard and Ruby Red refills
Accessories - brads, aquapainter, mustard spotted ribbon, dimensionals, sponge

Super...I am not a fan of GG at all but you did a nice job with it! Love the layout...off to check out Yvette's gallery!
I think the card looks great... You do such nice work! I have been putting that set off for awhile, but I think you talked me into getting it! Thanks! Now off to check Yvette's gallery!!!
This is a great card. I love that dress and never use it! You are on a roll. Oh, and I really like the distressed card also. I like the 2 color effect. good luck on the class.
I love the way you colored the dress, and the different backgrounds. So, so pretty!
Good for you, stepping out of your box!!!
Very nice layout!
Alli..you are a natural in any style you work with!! I love this card and you have inspired me to try different color combos too.
My friend and I were recently talking about how technology has become so integrated in our day to day lives. Reading this post makes me think back to that debate we had, and just how inseparable from electronics we have all become.
I don't mean this in a bad way, of course! Ethical concerns aside... I just hope that as memory gets less expensive, the possibility of uploading our brains onto a digital medium becomes a true reality. It's a fantasy that I daydream about every once in a while.
