Something missing

This card has been a real struggle for me. It was inspired by some china that I saw in a sale advertisement.

The first time I tried it, it was in red, but the red didn't work, the white embossing powder looked dull and creamy rather than white.

So this time I did it in Cool Caribbean, my favorite color. But it is missing something, it needs a sentiment, but I can't find a place to attach it, or think what to use.

I also really wanted to do some doodling, but what are the only colors that don't come with markers, yep, that would be In Colors. There's too much space around the outside of the main panel.

So what I might do is go back and change the panel to Caribbean and mount it on a thin piece of white.

I embossed the Caribbean in clear, by stamping Versamark on the stamp, before the Cool Caribbean.

I love these stamps though, they are Botanicals by Rhonna Farrer, thanks for the enabling Joan! :)

Oh I've just had a thought, I could fit a Papertray sentiment in the top left corner, stay tuned for the adventures of this card, lol!

How about some ribbon going horizontally and tied just to the right of the top panel? My friend Alison has some perfect CC ribbon that she got round a Thorntons Easter egg! :)

But it's great already! Can't wait to see how it evolves.

Cute card! Love Caribbean & White, such a refreshing combo!

What if you did paper piercing around the main image (or faux stitching) and then attached ribbon on the panel behind it?? Just an idea...but I think it looks cute as is. :o)

You could doodle in something complementary to CC by using a blender pen and ink from Taken with Teal. That's what I've used to achieve CC, and it has worked beautifully! I agree that paper piercing would also work, but I agree that the best place for a sentiment would be the upper left corner! It's way cool though!

Put it down and come back to it in a day or so. It is really pretty as is! TFS

I really like this card, but agree it needs something else. I think a small saying in black in the upper left hand corner is the way to go, but what is bothering me is the stark edge of the center white piece. Maybe some slight destressing around the edges with CC.

I think it's lovely but I'd add that little word or two in the right corner of the white center piece. I wouldn't add any distressing it looks clean, nice and crisp!

This is just gorgeous!! Alli my thoughts are: no distressing needed, a small single word sentiment in maybe the upper left corner or the lower left corner near the stems....or another thought is add a small tag with sentiment and a swirl clip or something similar to the top left corner....or leave it the lovely piece of art that it is and put the sentiment inside....It is absolutely beautiful!!
